As we continue serving families in Long Beach - nurturing children, advocating on behalf of parents, and helping preserve families at risk - we must continue to create new opportunities for the community to join our cause. On October 10, 2009 we will host the 1st Annual Children Today 5k, generously sponsored by Long Beach's
Free Conference Call.
The inaugural 5k, staged at LBCC's Pacific Coast Campus, is another Children Today partnership in Long Beach. A collaboration among the Children Today family, LBCC, CSULB and many community supporters, it aims to recruit all walks (and runs) of life to raise money for our two child development centers.
The collaboration was made stronger with the support of Free Conference Call and owner/operator David Erickson. As the Title Sponsor, Dave and his team have underwritten the cost of this event and signed up to complete the course in support of those most at risk in Long Beach.
