Pay It Forward project gives Play House North a new mural

To celebrate Jake Becker's 13th birthday, he and 5 of his close buddies, Jackson, Garrett, Jens, Jameson and Ryan decided to work together to make a difference in someone's life. Jake's mom Janet helped to encourage and finance the boy's "Pay It Forward" project with community service dollars that her mom left to her. With the help of talented Long Beach artist Karen Wall Garrison and her beautiful daughter Sam, the mural was created on Martin Luther King Day, January 21, 2008. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped to paint the mural; Karen, Sam, Jake, Janet, Dora, Charlotte, Kirra, Jordan, Garrett, Jens, Jameson, Kevin, Brennan & Jackson.
