Children Today relies on a vast network of service providers to help us meet our mission. The following is a list of the organizations with whom we work and who we are proud to call partners.
Partners in Homeless Services
Children Today is a founding member of the Long Beach Continuum of Care (CoC) Homeless Assistance Program comprised of a dozen agencies who offer critical services like emergency shelter, supportive housing, health and mental health care, eviction prevention and rapid rehousing, case management, and job training and placement services. Members of the CoC include:
Children's Institute, Inc. For over 100 years, Children's Institute has served children and families whose lives have been touched by violence, abuse and other kinds of trauma. Children Today partners with Children's Institute by utilizing their Wellness on Wheels program, which provides onsite mental health services for children and families every week, and through Project Stable Home, an in-home visitation program.
Long Beach Scottish Rite Language Center The Long Beach Scottish Rite Childhood Language Center is committed to providing high quality services to preschool children with language disorders. Specialists from Long Beach Scottish Rite provide free on-site assessments for children with possible speech or language delays.
Long Beach Community Action Partnership (LB CAP) LB CAP provides pathways to self-sustainability for low income individuals and families through advocacy, education, and energy assistance. Through direct services, like their after school enrichment and energy assistance programs, or through their generous financial support of Children Today, LB CAP helps struggling families obtain stability.
