Holiday Store is Open for Families: December 20, 2025
Help bring joy and essentials to our children and their families this holiday season! Each year, our community helps us create a special, one-day pop-up Holiday Store where current and alumni families “shop” for new toys, clothing, shoes, and personal care items, free of charge. Parents choose what fits their children best, reflecting our trauma-informed commitment to safety, respect, and family agency.
Why the Holiday Store matters:
Dignity of choice: Families select their own gifts. Choice is central to our trauma-informed practice and shows respect for parents’ knowledge of their children; all items are new!
Local impact: In FY 2024–2025, Children Today served 74 children from 56 households; 76% were in Long Beach. Your support stays close to home.
Beyond one day: The Store is part of a continuum of care that extends through the year (e.g., 22,537 meals provided in FY 24/25).
How you can help:
1.) Donate items (high-impact needs)
Gift Cards: grocery stores, Target, Walmart
New Toys: ages 0 –17
New Socks & Underwear: ages 0 –17
Hygiene: shampoo, body wash, lotion, detangler
Oral care: toothpaste & toothbrushes
