The Long Beach Multi-Service Center
The Long Beach Multi-Service Center (MSC) is the access center for homeless services in Long Beach. Administered by the Department of Health & Human Services, the MSC provides outreach, intake and assessment services, case management and referrals to shelters and other social service programs. Additionally, Homeless Services Division staff provides education, information and referrals to the community regarding homeless issues and concerns. The MSC is located at 1301 West 12th Street, Long Beach CA 90813. It is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except Thursdays, when it is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Contact the MSC by calling (562) 570-4500. |
The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS)
Serving Los Angeles County, the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) provides temporary financial assistance, employment services, free and low-cost health insurance, and food benefits for low-income residents. Families who qualify may receive emergency homeless assistance including hotel/motel vouchers, emergency shelter placement, eviction prevention assistance, relocation, and temporary rental assistance. The Paramount DPSS office is located at 2961 E. Victoria Street, Rancho Dominguez, CA 90221.
